Nashville Real Estate Is on the Rise

According to a study compiled in 2011, Nashville is the seventh fastest-growing city in the country. There are quite a few reasons for this, starting with the increased number of urban dwellings in and around the downtown area. With new high-rise condominiums in The Gulch, Music Row, West End, and downtown, there are thousands of new homes from which to choose. These residences have made it possible for thousands of people to move to the area. In some cases, this many new homes in one city might incite panic. In fact, some areas of the country saw these new developments die halfway through the construction, funding dried up, and now the empty shells remain. This is not the case in Nashville. The newest condo units in the city have nearly sold out, with most of the communities at 85% capacity and some completely sold out. The new construction neighborhoods have also sold most of the available homes and new ones are being built at a fast rate.

Nashville is able to sustain this growth for quite a few reasons. This area of the state has become home to more than just thousands of new residents. Jobs are more readily available because several new companies have moved to the area in the past four or five years, like Nissan. Nashville is also the home to many corporate headquarters, including Cracker Barrel and Dollar General. Thomas Nelson Publishers, LifeWay, and Vanguard Health have been in the city for several years and can be counted on to provide thousands of jobs.

So we have the housing and we have the jobs. What else is it about Nashville that makes people want to live here? Honestly, it's just cool. Nashville is the LA of the east or the New York of the south. With entertainers and sports figures, record execs and architects, the city is home to some high-powered professionals. What really makes the city a great place to live, though, are the fun-loving, hard-working people who frequent the local businesses, visit the live music venues, and put a lot of time and effort into keeping their homes beautiful. It's the people like you and me who make Nashville one of the best places to live, and that's why so many new people want to call this city their home.

First of all, with all the homes being purchased and sold, our real estate market is experiencing a solid rebound from the crash we experienced a few years ago. While other parts of the country are still suffering, our real estate market is quickly returning.
