The choice of material you put on the floors of your home is one the most important decorating decisions you will have to make. Not only do you have to think of the physical appearance of the floor, but you also have to consider the type of use it will undergo throughout its lifetime before settling on the right type of material for you.
Carpets are great for warming up cold houses, and they certainly protect children from injuring themselves when they fall. The main drawback with carpets is that they are relatively high maintenance.
