From Astoria to Brookings and everywhere in between finding the best homes on the Oregon coast takes the know-how and the experience of a dedicated real estate agent. Astoria sits on a little Peninsula with the Oregon Coast Highway stretching over the Astoria-Megler Bridge and heading on down the coast. All of these are within just a few miles of downtown Astoria.
Heading on down the coast is the gorgeous little town of Seaside Oregon. This is a darling town but caters to tourists and locals alike. Homes in Seaside can range anywhere from about $90,000 to upwards of $600,000 depending on the size, lot, and location. Many homes are located right downtown and offer beautiful views of the beach.
Canon beach, about 30 miles South of Seaside is home to Haystack Rock which is been featured in many movies over the years. This unique location is perfect for those that want to retire on the Oregon Coast or simply have a vacation home here. There are dozens of low rise condominiums and beach homes for sale in the Canon Beach and Tolovana Park area.
As you travel south down the Pacific Coast Highway you'll see smaller towns such as Manzanita, Manhattan Beach, Rockaway Beach, and Bay City area several of these surround Tillamook Bay located about a third of the way down the Oregon coast. This is also home to the town of Tillamook which is roughly 10 miles from the ocean itself. There are beautiful homes around this bay as well as out on Highway 131 offering spectacular views of the ocean.
Lincoln city which is located about in the middle of the state is home to about 8000 people and offers dozens of recreational and touristy activities. Newport and Toledo are just a little farther south nestled along the Yaquina Bay. There is an airport and a community college here as well as overall state parks.
So many rivers end here that start either in the center of the US or just farther inland and empty into the Pacific Ocean such as the rivers around Bayshore, Sandpiper Village, and Waldport. Florence, several miles South on the Oregon coast Highway, is home to a little over 8000 residences and this is the perfect spot to retire or own a second home. It's surrounded by state and national forests and parks which give it a beautiful landscape. From here on south, most of the Oregon Coast is home to state parks and offer beautiful lookouts and beaches. After the tiny town of Bandon, there's not much down Highway 101 until you reach Brookings Oregon, which is on the border of California. Most of the best places to find homes on the Oregon coast are from Florence North. But there are gorgeous estates, beautiful retirement homes, and cozy beach cabins all offering great views with endless amenities.
