As a first time buyer it can sometimes be a bit daunting to think about where to even start looking for a property. The first thing to do is to put aside some time to sit down and really work out exactly what you can afford to spend. Take into account any moving costs, stamp duty, legal fees and all other fees associated such as surveyor fees and mortgage charges. Once you know exactly what you can comfortably afford then you can concentrate on a specific budget.
