Builder Blunders - Common Mistakes

Mistakes come in all shapes and sizes, and when building a home, these come more often than you can ever imagine. The fact is that nothing will go as planned so you have to be prepared for the unplanned. But there is a way around this as well, hiring a builder who knows what is to be done and what is happening. This is not to say, that the work will go smoothly, that cannot happen, but they will occur in a way that the professional knows what went wrong and where. Mistakes can be big from roofs inlays just falling down to small tiny issues like locating the head of the shower too low.

Some of the most common errors made by builders, as they are also human can be listed as follows;

-           Outside

Make sure that the air conditioners are made to fit on the north or the east side of the house. This will ensure a maximum amount of efficiency, at the same time make sure they located at the right angle and positioning in the bedrooms. Mostly for old ones and even some new ones you might be in need of putting up compressors.

Do not obstruct your pathways and aisles with furniture and other decorations. In any case to be on the safe side for the stairway, you can always increase the width from a common 36 inches to 42 inches to have more space.

Research stiff floors this will be better instead of having to walk on soft and spongy type of flooring. For this consult your builder. In case of having an idea to extend to an attic space over a garage of putting in a new room, do consult your builder for the best possible size and place.
