You will want to find one that is both reputable and fairly priced. When you do find a good one, hold onto him (if you plan on continuing to flip houses.) Although your contractor does not have to be able to win a personality contest, you should be able to get along well with him. This is especially true if you plan to use the same contractor for your other projects. If he is argumentative and difficult to work with you may want to move onto somebody else entirely.

If he does not have anything to hide he will not mind you checking up on him. Interview several of them in the first place so you can compare them and make a wise choice. Nowadays it is also possible to check out professionals right on the Internet through your favorite search engine. You can see their credentials, their websites and any customer reviews he may have on there. If you take the time to examine each of them properly you will surely find a contractor to work with for years to come.
