Tasmania - Workplace Standards Tasmania License needed for any work with over five thousand dollars ($5000) value and requires a permit.

South Australia - Office of Consumer and Business Affairs License needed for all types of residential work at all cost levels.

Queensland - Building Services Authority Check for certain trade cost limits. License needed for work where construction and materials exceed eleven hundred dollars ($1100).

Northern Territory Licensing laws are still being discussed and there is no authority at the present time.

New South Wales - Office of Fair Trading License needed if construction and material costs exceed two hundred dollars ($200).

Australian Capital Territory - Building Electrical and Plumbing Control Builder gradings range from A to D and a license is needed for most types of work.
