If you are considering buying Playa del Carmen real estate, but you are new to the area, you may be wondering which neighborhood is best to buy in. The truth is that there are many excellent communities to choose from. The following is a brief overview of a few of the spotlight communities which deserve special attention.
Downtown - Downtown Playa บ้าน มือสอง del Carmen is the classic area to buy real estate. The community is defined by small city blocks, low-rise buildings like all the other communities listed here and a European-like atmosphere. The beach is spectacular, and only a walk away. A walk-every lifestyle, with shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets and local markets all within easy walking distance, adds appeal to this quaint and pleasant community.
Playacar - Playacar is located directly next to downtown; many residents can walk both to the beach and to the main areas of downtown activity. This is the city's original and most upscale gated community, built around a professional golf course. It includes bike trails, tree-lined roads and plenty of green areas. Life is relaxing and pleasant.
Puerto Aventuras - Puerto Aventuras is located about 20 minutes south of town. It is primarily a marina community, with three full-service marinas surrounded by upscale condos. Homes are also available on the beaches between the marinas. There is also a golf course with homes and lots for sale and many services; it is more like a town in itself.
Coco Beach - This is a hip, up-and-coming beachfront community within walking distance of downtown. Nice new condos are already available, and as the tourist area of downtown grows rapidly northward, this community promises soon to be at the center of the action.
Xcalacoco Beach - Heading a little further north, about 3 miles outside of downtown, Xcalacoco beach offers a variety of communities, including beachfront condo complexes, condo-resorts that combine full ownership with a complete resort lifestyle and golf course communities. The beautiful beaches are always nearby, and since the area is still newly developing, prices are relatively low.
Puerto Morelos - This is a town in itself, about 20 minutes north of central Playa del Carmen. Its atmosphere is small-town and local, balanced by close access to both Playa del Carmen and Cancun, especially the Cancun International airport which would be about 15 minutes away.
