Many who have closely studied and visited Mexico will definitely remember the tourist developments in Puerto Vallarta. Majority of investors in Puerto Vallarta real estate are American and Canadian retirees. This situation has likewise contributed to the continuous construction of condominiums and other concrete structures in Puerto Vallarta to meet the increasing demands of tourists who visit the city. Since tourism became the major source of income of the people, even locals have consistently flocked to the place for employment. The tourism industry in Puerto Vallarta has steadily risen since the 1970s; and it now comprises 50% of the local economy.
