Understanding and appreciating log cabin kits comes easily enough once one begins to learn something about these attractive and easy-to-put-together cabin kits. For sure, those who have always wanted a quality log cabin but have been a little leery of having one built from the foundation up will find that these kit homes are probably the best answer.
Almost all such cabin kits are easy to assemble and are very functional. In fact, many of these cabins can serve a wide variety of uses in addition to being a three or even four season home or lodge. Almost all of them are available in standard sizes - which is the reason why they can be packaged into kits - and just about every one can be added to.
What this means is that the standard-size kit can be built upon to come up with a wide range of shapes such as an 'L' or 'H' shape cabin of greater dimensions than come in a standard kit. A quality kit, by the way, will come with at least a three-season capability and the walls will be non-insulated, so keep that in mind when looking at different floor plans.
The upside to all of this, when purchasing a cabin kit is that there is no sawing or drilling required to secure the logs one on top of the other or in some other fashion. The cabin will be delivered in complete panels, as a matter of fact. This means that the roof and all walls necessary to form the cabin will be delivered ready to go and can be put up relatively quickly.
Usually, these kits will include special materials for the inside of the walls that will be made of knotty pine while the exterior side of the wall will usually consist of a solid wood panel that has been milled so that it resembles a round wood log. This is quite attractive and is another reason why no insulation will generally ever be needed.
Small cabin sizes can also be put together with only a ladder, a screw gun, a level, a hammer and a chalk line. Usually, 2 to 3 people will be needed in order to assemble the cabin and it can generally be erected and ready to go in about a day. This is for a 12' x 12' cabin, with larger cabins or cabins that are shaped ฝากขายบ้าน differently taking a bit longer.
A basic cabin of 12' x 12' generally can be found for less than $4300. Prices go up from there and a 12' x 32' cabin usually can be found for less than $7200. Figure adding in a few thousand dollars more for special items and you're still looking at a great summer lodge or home for well under $10,000. There's almost no downside to one of these log cabin kits, it would seem.
